Founder and CEO
Suneel Kumar (SK) is the founder Director and CEO of Eldaas. His passion to contribute significantly to the innovations in the country, drove him to start Eldaas, as the first generation entrepreneur. With his vision to create a company to provide innovative designs, he built Eldaas with significant capabilities in the chosen domains of RF. Microwave and Digital Electronics, required for bulk of the professional Electronics systems. Being a high technology field with limited availability of skills, his initial journey was focused on building capabilities rather than growth. With his vision and passion, Eldaas has emerged as a dependable partner for developing products and systems in the mission critical projects of Defence. The knowledge base so acquired is now helping the company to diversify to various segments of professional electronics. Suneel’s relentless hardwork is paving the path for progress at Eldaas.
Prior to ELDAAS, Suneel Kumar had extensive Design and Engineering experience in two prestigious organisations. His initial career was nurtured in the Central Research laboratory of Bharat Electronics Ltd, specializing in R&D of Defence technologies. His particular focus was in the core RF and Microwave technologies. He later worked for Sony Ericsson, developing two successful products. His contribution spans from the requirement analysis phase to volume manufacturing.
Suneel Kumar holds a Masters in Communication systems from NIT-Trichy and a Bachelors’ degree in Engineering from Osmania University.
Venkata Sarma I
Venkata Sarma is the chairman of the Board of Directors at Eldaas. With over 40 years of experience in Defence Electronics industry, Sarma is known for his significant contributions in the development of technologies, products and systems as well as his innovations in Operations Management and Strategic planning. His experience covers a number of functions including R&D, Manufacturing, Domestic and International business development, Project Management, Offsets Management, Strategic Planning, Setting up of factories, and formation of JVs. He has worked in diverse fields of Defence Electronics. His domain experience includes Telecom and renewable energy.
Sarma was Director (R&D) in Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), a Navratna PSU, in the business of Defence Electronics, for over four years. He was on Board of BPL group companies for five years. He also worked as an Independent Director on Boards, overseeing the corporate governance. He is also a member of the advisory committee of Project Management Institute. Venkat Sarma with his diverse experience, guides the Board and teams at Eldaas in its journey with a goal of exponential growth.
He is an Electronics & Communications engineer with MBA from FMS, Delhi. He is a Fellow of IETE. He is a recipient of several awards including awards for Technology Development and innovation, Pride of the country award and best contributor in PSUs. He is one of the 100 Managers in India selected for a book with the same title.
Director of Technology
S. Varadarajan, former Director at LRDE a laboratory of DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) is the Director of Technology at Eldaas. A reputed R&D leader with proven credentials, he sets and evolves strategic direction for technology roadmap for the company whilst cultivating leadership and a culture of innovation.
Varadarajan has nearly 3 decades of experience in Radar systems engineering and Radar Data Processing (RDP). His pioneering efforts led to the development and integration of RDP for a family of Indian Doppler Radars, Rajendra Multifunction Radar, Ship borne Radars and Maritime Patrol Radar. He is responsible for developing a variety of Indigenous Radars in close collaboration with Product Line Development teams, Partners, System/Applications Engineering, Strategic Marketing and Lead Customers. He was the architect for successful turnaround in Indian Radar technology by indigenously developing advanced Machine learning algorithms to improve Radar accuracy.
Varadarajan is a Fellow of the National Academy of Engineering (FNAE) and the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE) and also recipient of numerous awards like Scientist of the Year, Technology leadership, and Agni award for self-reliance, awards from DRDO and the IETE-IRSI award from the IETE. He has also served as Advisor to Bharat Electronics Ltd, Bengaluru. Varadarajan, holds Masters degree in Electrical & Communications from Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and B.E. (Hons), Electronics & Communication from Madurai University.
An Industry veteran with over 35 years of experience, specialized in Management of Major business financial planning and analysis, evaluation of Costs & estimates, risk management working with large cross platform teams, sourcing initiatives, change projects.
Ramachandraiah is a passionate leader and developer of people, providing accountability and guidance team needs every step of the way to implement the tools and systems the business needs to thrive. His key area is Employee Engagement & Staff Development.
Ramchandraiah holds a degree in Civil engineering from JNT University Hyderabad
Consultant - RF Communication
During the past forty-five years, Dr. Shastry has made significant contributions in his area of expertise in Industry-University collaborative projects sponsored by several leading microwave companies. He was the director of RF development at Validus Technologies, LLC from 2006-2014. He is a member of the advisory board of Endotronix, Inc. He is also the proprietor of the RF consulting company Wirelestek Consulting.
Dr. Shastry was awarded a Ph.D degree in microwave engineering by IIT-Bombay in 1980. During his doctoral research, he invented the widely-used Linearly Tapered Slotline Antenna (LTSA). He earned an M.Tech degree in microwave and radar engineering from IIT-Kharagpur in 1974, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) degree from University Visveshwaraih College of Engineering, Bangalore University, in 1972.
He was awarded a Post Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1982. During the nine years that he worked there as a research associate and adjunct faculty member, he made pioneering research contributions to the area of Wideband Distributed Amplifiers.
Dr. Shastry is the author or co-author of over ninety manuscripts and publications which include archival journal articles, refereed conference papers, book chapters, and project reports. He also holds two U.S. patents on Electronically Tunable Active Duplexers. He is an invited speaker at international conferences, universities/colleges, R&D organizations, companies, and professional societies. Dr. Shastry has been recognized for his outstanding performance in teaching and exemplary innovations in the field of microwave engineering by IETE, India, and Bradley University ,he has advised and supervised numerous graduate and undergraduate student projects and theses for over forty years.
