Feedback is the signal from the OP-AMP Output, feedback to the input through Rf. The Inverting Amplifier uses negative feedback to control the gain.
The basic Circuit of the Inverting Amplifier using an OP-AMP is shown below. It consists of a Resistor from the input terminal to the Inverting Amplifier input of the circuit, and another resistor connected from the output to the Inverting input of the OP-AMP. The Inverting input is connected to ground. The value of these two resistors that govern the gain of the operational amplifier circuit.
However the feedback is taken from the output via a Resistor (Rf) to the inverting input of the OP-AMP where another Resistor (Rin) is taken to ground. The value of these two resistors that govern the gain of the operational amplifier circuit.
